The Museum was opened in the 90s. After a work of research and compilation of original material from the two sides of the Pyrenees, a collection of more than 8,000 pieces was created.
The permanent exhibition shows about 200 of these pieces under three themes: the protection of the house, the protection of the individual and the protection of the community. A complete and interesting vision of the beliefs and faith of the Pyrenean culture from the pre-Christianity to the present time. The Museum, together with the CEDAS and Abizanda’s Town Hall, organize temporal exhibitions in the rooms of the Museum and the tower every summer.
